Pathway to Associateship:

To become an Associate (AIAA), members need to complete:

  1. Foundation Program (Bachelors Degree)

  2. Actuary Program (Honours Year), comprising:

    • Actuarial Control Cycle (delivered by an accredited university)

    • Data Analytics Principles (delivered by an accredited university)

    • Asset and Liability Management (delivered by the Institute)

    • Communication, Modelling and Professionalism (delivered by the institute)

  3. One year Practical Experience Requirement (PER) *

Pathway to Fellowship:

To become a Fellow (FIAA), members need to complete:

  1. All of the associateship requirements

  2. Fellowship Program

  3. Further one year Practical Experience Requirement (PER) *

*If you obtained full exemption from part II of the old curriculum by the end of 2019, then there are different study pathways available under the transition arrangements which relate to the PER.
